FULL NAME: Mckenzie Marie Noelle Murray.
NICKNAMES: Micky, Mick, Kenzie, or Ken. She prefers any nickname over Mckenzie.
AGE: 20.
BIRTHDATE: August 13th, 1988.
GENDER: Female.
SEXUALITY: Straight.
OCCUPATION/GROUP: Musician.
CANON OR ORIGINAL: Canon.
PLAYBY: Hayley Williams<3
BODY TYPE: Pretty slim, but not totally lacking of a female figure. She's petite, to put it best.
HAIR: Naturally a dark brown. But that really doesn't matter, since she's dyed it that trade-mark red. She tries different shades occasionally, from more of a blonde-yellow to a deep red, but she likes to stick in the middle. She keeps it pretty short, and well-maintained. Yellow, red, and orange is her favorite style, and current one.
EYES: A light blue, that can sometimes appear grey.
CLOTHING: Anything comfortable. You'll probably have to pay to get her in a skirt or dress, though. She likes jeans or shorts, paired with a cute band tee, or if she's feeling "dressy," she'll get out a dressy tank top and layer it with a nice jacket. Maybe.
LIKES: Lounging around, spying on her neighbors, taking naps, reading, finding weird places to sit, going shopping, sleeping under the stars, the outdoors, acting on impulse, black and white films, a good campfire, photo-shop, moccasins, and polaroid photos.
DISLIKES: Horror films, heights, close spaces, cold weather, deep water, cats, high-maintenance people, seafood, extreme activists, the nightly news, spicy food, smack-talkers, the smell of cigars, being left alone, and commitment, pink, dresses, silk.
HABITS: Biting her nails, breaking out into random song, denying her feelings, and taking long walks and getting lost.
STRENGTHS: Very intelligent, strong-willed, good sense of humor, and confident. She's just easy to get along with, overall, and she doesn't have to get his way all the time.
WEAKNESSES: Denying her feelings, being too quiet, sometimes being shy.
SECRETS: She doesn't know if love really exists, she really hates it in California, and she's a good artist.
FEARS: Getting tied up in a long-term relationship this early in her life, heights, being misunderstood, and small things like that. She can handle bugs and bats and creepy crawlies.
PERSONALITY: Micky's actually a pretty quiet girl until you get to know her. She doesn't leave much a first impression, because of that. She's withdrawn and prefers to think things over before she speaks. She's a thoughtful girl, which someone might not anticipate from her over-the-edge look.
Along with that, they might get the idea that she's a total tomboy. Not entirely true... but not totally undeniable, either. Sure, she'll sit down and watch an entire hockey game with her guy friends, but she does think about girl things. Does he like me? Does this make me look fat? She just doesn't openly express it, and she has a lot bottled up inside of her, waiting to burst at times.
Aside from that, she's totally loveable. Which is a flaw, since she has no idea what love truly is. But what twenty-year old musician would? She's at a crossroads in her life, and her music reflects that. She has trouble expressing emotion because she doesn't want to deal with heartbreak, and that crippling motion alone is the real thing that might break her in the end.
MOTHER: Linda, writer.
FATHER: Dennis, deceased.
SIBLINGS: None
PETS: A white Great Dane named Klondike.
HISTORY: Mickey was born just south of Vancouver, Canada. She lived there with her mother and father for about fifteen years. Things went normally, and she lived in an actual suburb area established in Canada. She always spent a lot of time outside, and it was a tradition to go out in December and cut down a Christmas tree during the holidays with her father. However, during McKenzie’s sophomore year in high school, her dad collapsed on the hike to the woods, and being the burly man he was, everyone knew something was critically wrong.
The whole week of winter break, during her father had come down with a serious illness. Usually, the entire Murray's extended family including cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents flew in from the United States, or drove from other areas in Canada to visit Instead, the entire family spent the holiday season packed into the emergency room of the hospital. Doctors spent days trying to figure out what had caused the failure of Dennis's, McKenzie’s father's, heart. They could only come to the conclusion of undiagnosed lung cancer due to cigarette smoking, which over-powered his body when he came down with a chronic case of pneumonia. He died on Christmas morning, and McKenzie’s never really been a fan of the holiday since then.
A day after Christmas, McKenzie’s aunt offered to have she and her mother move in with her. They lived in the southern-most islands of Alaska, and the only available schooling was a boarding school. Although it wasn't exactly a well-thought out decision, it was the only option, since Linda was only an author and the money available wasn't enough to get by on. They ended up moving in, and McKenzie lived at the academy - girl's only in one wing of the school, and boys only in the other. That got old pretty quickly, surprisingly. The girls who went to this school were either ridiculously smart, or their parents were ridiculously rich. McKenzie was neither, but during her junior year, a lot of that changed for her.
Because she wanted to stick out from others in those uniforms, she went ahead and dyed her hair. She also pushed the standard and raised her test scores, and tried to befriend some of the less snobby girls attending school. That didn't really work out for the best, because the people she made friends with landed her in a lot of trouble. Even though it was the cause of her father's death, Kenzie got into cigarettes, and got caught lighting up on campus. She was sent to detention, and it really did change her life.
First time being there, she wasn't exactly scared, but vulnerable. She found it pretty easy to go through, though, when she found out detention was co-ed. And the three boys who sat next to her and in front of her happened to be pretty easy on the eyes, so she got through it. Until one of them asked about her hair. And then another about why she was in detention. And what it was like in the girl's locker room. One thing led to another, and their weekly detention meets turned into a fun little get-together. These three boys would soon be her band-mates, and brother-like best friends.
Believe it or not, they stuck together, and moved down to California once they graduated the hell-hole of a school with not much on their backs, except one of the boy's inheritance fund. McKenzie wouldn't have it any other way.
